Carbon conscious Fresh Start Waste Services have furthered their commitment to minimising the carbon impact of their operations through choosing to partner with Coggin Sustainable Office Solutions to refurbish and modernise their offices, resulting in an embodied saving of 2486kg of carbon.
Sustainable office furnishing is becoming increasingly popular among businesses, as it provides numerous benefits for both the environment and the bottom line. Refurbished office furniture is a great way to implement sustainable practices in the office, as it not only reduces waste but also saves money and has a positive impact on the environment.
Fresh Start Waste work with businesses across the North West to minimise their environmental impact through advising and supporting recycling as well as helping businesses with ideas to reduce the amount of waste they produce in the first place.
With this in mind, when it came time for Fresh Start to refurbish two of their five offices to support their growing business , two measures were taken. Items which were able to be refurbished and reused were done so, and new items of furniture were purchased through partner Coggin Sustainable Office Solutions who provided preloved furniture, creating a carbon saving of 2486kg.
