Fresh Start Waste continues to provide essential support for Manchester’s homeless and people in crisis with Coffee4Craig
Fresh Start Waste have continued their ongoing commitment to supporting Manchester’s homeless community through the provision of waste collection services free of charge to the Coffee4Craig charity on an ongoing basis.
Coffee4Craig provides vital support for Manchester’s homeless and people in crisis. Each evening they operate an out of hours’ drop-in service in the heart of Manchester city centre. They offer hot food, showers, food parcels, medical support, and mental health crisis intervention.
With the financial saving of not paying for a waste collection service, Coffee4Craig can utilise these funds to do even more in support of those most in need during these difficult times.
The £2650+VAT is equivalent to either one of the following:
- Providing 1250 guests with a hot, homecooked meal every night. With an all-important cake and custard!
- With over 50 guests per night, many will need a new set of underwear and socks, footwear and joggers, Fresh Start’s donation is equivalent to 750 sets of boxers and socks, or 450 pairs of jogging bottoms or trainers
- Sadly, guests sadly sometimes require emergency accommodation, and the £2650+VAT is the same as over 475 hotel rooms, that offer both physical and emotional refuge
Hendrix Lancaster, from Coffee 4 Craig commented: “We are so grateful for Fresh Start Waste’s support, and it really does make a huge difference to what we offer our guests. The Fresh Start team have been phenomenal in supporting us! Our bin men, the two guys who collect our waste, are absolutely fantastic and really cheerful, helpful, and professional.”
Sean Martins, Commercial Manager at Fresh Start Waste said: “We all know the growing impact of austerity on our own doorstep in Manchester, so we are proud to support in some small way the magnificent impact Coffee4Craig are making.”
