Commercial waste and recycling service provider Fresh Start Waste have supported Liverpool children’s charity KIND by providing a £230 donation, in partnership with one of their clients.
For over four decades KIND’s ethos has been that they believe all children have the right to be the best they can, and that it is their job to facilitate this by providing experiences, activities and services which show them that they and life can be different, and they and life can be better. So, since 1975 they have worked tirelessly to find new ways to help children and families across Liverpool and Merseyside cope with the effects of poverty and disadvantage.
So, when a Liverpool client of Fresh Start Waste finished a project and was no longer in need of a waste service having pre-paid for their waste services, the client suggested Fresh Start donate it to a local charity in the Liverpool area who could really benefit.
Fresh Start did more than this, they matched the donation to a total of £230, which will now be used to support the 2023 Summer Out of School programme, which also includes KIND’s summer residential project.
Nicola McGrath, CEO at Fresh Start Waste Services said “As we operate across the Liverpool region and our client was one based in Liverpool, what better way to put the money to good use than help a charity who supports the development of some of the most disadvantaged families in the area. As a family-run business we are always looking to support the wider community and KIND is a fantastic example of doing right by the young people and families of Liverpool, so we are immensely proud to support them with this donation.”
Stephen Yip, Chief Executive of KIND said “On behalf of all at KIND I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and everyone at Fresh Start Waste Services Ltd for your kind donation of £230. The children who will attend both the Club and our Residential facility will have an amazing summer full of fun, exciting and educational activities all designed to show them that they and life can be different. Perhaps as important as the physical activities that we provide is the chance we give the children to create some very happy and positive memories of childhood – memories that will stay with them forever.
Between us we will make a real difference in many young lives this year. On behalf of all at KIND and especially the children and families who will benefit from our Summer Out of School programme this year, may I again thank you and all at Fresh Start Waste Services Ltd for your kindness, generosity and support.”
